Subject: An amazing experience!! - Pioneers Camp

Hi Karen,

After a busy Easter, we are now able to look back over our trip, and tell you that it was indeed a WONDERFUL experience! Thank you so much for all your organisation which worked like clockwork, except for the plane on our return was late at Vic Falls, so we missed our connection to CT. But as our onward flight was with BA, they booked us into a hotel in Jo'berg overnight, and put us on a flight the next morning. So, no great drama.

Since we have lived in the Cape in the summer months we have spent time away driving ourselves around, but never on an organised trip, so this was a new experience. It saved us all the hassle, and the staff were wonderful. From the time Tendayi picked use up we enjoyed every minute, especially as he soon realised thet we are bird watchers, and helped us to see so many different ones. His enthusiasm for all the activies was infectious, I would never have imagined that he would get me into a rubber duck on the Zambesi with hippos close by!

The camp was lovely and we enjoyed the isolation and peace. How could we not enjoy the full attention of the team, and beside Tandayi, we would particularly like to thank Gari, Kelvin, and the cook with the smurf hat, who looked after us so well. The attention to detail such as my request for a non-fat diet wherever possible was commendable. Finally, the addition of Casper after the first few days was great, as his observation skills were amazing. We must have been somewhat older than other clients, but they could not have been kinder. We return to the UK at the end of this month, but when we return at the end of October I can see that we may be researching your web site. The gorillas beckon!

Thank you again, and please pass thanks on to Debbie whom I spoke to originally. When I have a moment I will be making a note on Trip Advisor.

Kind Regards, Heather and Tony

Hi Traci

Please can you pass on my compliments to Wild Frontiers. The Hotel (all staff) and the Client Liaison Officer, Edita, based at the Keys hotel were EXCELLENT. They provided excellent service and everything ran perfectly to plan.

The Guides ( Arnold, Hubert, Frances & Eppa) were HIGHLY efficient, friendly and so knowledgeable and we could not fault the service of any of the staff who looked after us on the mountain. And look after us they most certainly did. EXCEPTIONAL service, I cannot enthuse enough! J

Kudo’s to Wild Frontiers – I would HIGHLY recommend anyone who wants to visit Mt Kilimanjaro to use Wild Frontiers as their tour company.

Regards
Alison

Hi John, Dewald

Finally the mad house is quietening down and I can sit down behind my laptop and get this mail out.

Thank you for a very well organised adventure, I suppose something which one has to do when you have been living in Tanzania for the last 12 years. At last I can answer in the affirmative when asked if I have been up the hill and do not need to dredge up reasons why not.

The whole trip was magnificently supported by ? Egita/Edita and her staff at the Keys Hotel and all the guides and porters throughout. We never wanted for anything (fresh legs and lungs excluded). The food was great throughout and more than enough. The guides were magnificent and their patience with each and everyone in the group ensured that barring one (pre-existing hip injury) we all made it to Stella and 7 of us went on to Uhuru. To say it was tough in our opinion, is an understatement and I am sure you will know better. Taking into consideration that we had a good cross section of ages, 25 to 62, 25% of the group were female, the guides did exceptionally well in getting everyone up and back down safely. Thomas (head guide) and his crew certainly knew their stuff and without them we would certainly not have enjoyed the success we did.

On our return to Keys, Egita/Edita made sure we were well fed and there was an abundant supply of cold Kili’s waiting for us.

John, Dewald to you and your team thank you for making this happen and I, as well as the rest of our group would certainly not hesitate to recommend Wild Frontiers, Keys Hotel as well as Thomas and his group of guides and porters to anyone who may wish to take on this challenge in the future. You guys were integral to our success.

Regards
Wes

Traci, thank-you for the adventure of a lifetime.

You and Mandy did a fantastic job organising everything without my knowing. Every aspect of the trip was extremely well organised and I enjoyed every minute (although it was certainly tough).

Hotel was great and guides Honest and Faustine were wonderful. Got along really well with Heinz and Justin.

Any time you need a referral, you are welcome to have customers contact me.

Regards, Gary Muller.
